HADES HERNÁNDEZ

From Trinidad, Cuba, to Bergen, Norway.
At the heart of Cubanero is Hades Hernández, a Cuban percussionist and vocalist whose professional musical journey has taken him from Trinidad, Cuba, through Spain and ultimately to Bergen, Norway.
Since arriving in Bergen in 2007, Hades has become a recognised figure in the city’s Cuban and Latin American music scene, performing, leading and collaborating with musicians across Latin music, jazz and world music.
Cubanero grew from this musical journey — bringing together experienced musicians and a shared passion for rhythm, live performance and musical connection.
While Cuban roots are an important part of the band's identity, Cubanero goes beyond one genre. Their repertoire moves through Son, Salsa, Timba, Merengue, Cumbia, Latin Jazz, Bolero, Ballads and Funk, creating a versatile live experience for different audiences and occasions.
