Cubanero was born in Bergen, Norway, bringing together musicians with a shared passion for Latin music, live performance and the energy of a great audience.

Since its beginnings, the band has become part of Bergen’s vibrant Latin and live music scene, developing a sound rooted in Cuban traditions while embracing the diversity and creativity of its musicians.

From Traditional Cuban Son, Salsa and Modern Timba to Merengue, Cumbia, Latin Jazz, Bolero, Ballads and Funk, Cubanero has evolved into a versatile live band with a repertoire that goes far beyond a single style.
